Teaching

I have 9 years of experience teaching university-level mathematics and 7 years of experience as the Instructor of record. I am very committed to using active-learning methods and building a class environment in which all students are supported and encouraged to participate.

Studies have shown that active-learning methods decrease failure rates in STEM courses!  Curiously, one study showed that even though students learn more with active learning, they feel as though they have learned less.  Some studies have suggested this might be partially because the fluency of instructor presentations can be misleading!

My experience as an Instructor in Mathematics ranges across calculus, service courses, and an upper-division course.  â€‹â€‹â€‹See my CV for more detailed information.
